Our Story - Just starting out

After some jam sessions in late 2019, the potential for a successful band was quickly recognised. Officially formed in January 2020, thePKG.band came together in the neighbourhoods of Canberra, ACT, Australia. Amongst Australia’s political elite and fast growing hip culture, Paul took it upon himself to find like minded, talented musicians to join him in cultivating the city’s growing indie music scene. Stay tuned on upcoming shows, events, and tours by joining our email list or following us Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Paul Keijo Gibson (vocals, guitar) grew up in Canberra, Australia. He has travelled to various cities around the world and called Edinburgh, Scotland home for a brief period before returning to Australia to start a family. Not an overachiever in scholastic endeavours, Paul found himself in the IT industry and completed a Masters Degree in Internet Communications in 2009. This proud father of one cool 18yr old boy, now has the time and means to fulfil a lifetime ambition in music. Never far from a guitar or drum kit, Paul has been writing and performing live music, solo and various bands as a hobby for 30 years. Age shall not weary him.
